Kenya's national carrier Kenya Airways has launched three weekly flights to Brazzaville to benefit from the existing economic boom in the francophone country.
The Central African Republic will now be able to take advantage of the airline's ability to transport Chinese businessmen whose investments in the country have increased but yet lack direct flights.
Kenya Airways also announced it would start flying to Madagascar in November; the country is witnessing an upturn in growth with increased investment and aid from foreign donors. Rapid growth is also expected in tourism and the blossoming coal, petroleum and mineral industries.
Passengers operating on this route will cut several hours. The shortest route on the Madagascar route from London is through OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg, an extra four hours.
Flights to Madagascar from Nairobi will depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday at 8 am.
Kenya Airways currently serves 43 routes both international and domestic in over 36 countries in Africa.
