
Safaricom to roll-out broadband services across Kenya

Kenyan mobile operator, Safaricom has announced it will commence with a three-year WiMax project to deploy high-speed broadband services across the country.
Engineering News reports the WiMax network will offer wireless broadband to residential and corporate users, rural areas, municipalities, universities, schools and banks.
Safaricom CEO, Michael Joseph said the new network will allow the company to offer high-quality broadband services to its customers, creating new opportunities for business growth.
