Old Mutual Investment Services Kenya managed to rise above the challenges in the local and international financial markets and post a positive performance for the first six months of 2009.

Capital Business reports Old Mutual Unit Trust Fund's sub funds - Old Mutual Equity Fund, Old Mutual Balance Fund, Old Mutual East Africa Fund and Old Mutual Money Market Fund - all recorded positive performances during the first half of the year.

Old Mutual Investment Services managing director, Laura Chakave yesterday said the company is pleased that it exceeded the relevant investment benchmarks, despite the difficult business environment.
