Kenya is reducing the number of licences investors need in order to do business in the country. According to The Nation, finance assistant minister, Oburu Oginga said the government has so far reduced the number of licences required from a high of 1,500 to 500. A further cut of 200 licences is being planned.
To simplify the application process the government is also looking at housing all investment departments and licensing bodies in a one-stop shop.
